Some specific diseases can't be detected with physical exams and require blood tests to get the best idea of the function of your pet's body organs. With complete blood work, we'll determine if your pet has anemia, infections, or any deficiency in its immune system. We recommend getting your pet yearly blood tests before starting a new medication or any surgery requiring anesthetics.
In case we cannot run the exams in house, we use reference laboratories for the following exams:
- Special blood tests
- Histopathology/Cultures
- Tumor identification
- Skin Culture (wound management)
- Urine Culture (for chronic urinary tract infections)
